December 3, 2020 – Former world title-challenger and winner of The Contender, Brandon Adams (21-3, 13 KOs) weighed 156 pounds for his eight-round fight as he takes on late-replacement Sonny Duversonne in the main event of the 2nd card presented by Ring City USA.

The fight will headline a card that will be seen live on NBC Sports Network at 9 PM ET.

Adams, of Watts, California, is promoted by Banner Promotions and The Tournament of Contenders and will be making his first start since his gutsy effort when he took WBC Middleweight champion Jermall Charlo to a 12-round unanimous decision on June 29, 2019 in Houston, Texas.

Duversonne of Avon Park, Florida, who also checked in at 156 lbs, has a record of 11-2-2 with eight knockouts.  His only two losses have been close decisions to undefeated prospects Lorenzo Simpson and Chordale Booker.

The fight will take place in the parking lot of the famed Wild Card Boxing Club.

FINAL QUOTES:

ADAMS:
“I want to prove my existence. This is the way I walk. This is my ‘Why’. To perform at the best of my ability.”

DUVERSONNE:
“Thinking about what I went through, I see boxing as my motivation. I am very grateful despite what I went through in my life… My past is my motivation – like boxing, I keep learning a lot from it.”
