Brazilian legend and former Jr. Lightweight and Lightweight champ Acelino “Popó” Freitas was on hand at the ESPN2 Boxcino Finals in Verona, NY on 5-23-14. “Popó” was gracious enough to talk with Fightnews.com about his beginnings in the 1997 Boxcino tournament, his comeback bout in 2012 against Michael Oliveira and his involvement in the upcoming 2016 Olympic games slated for Rio.
