PHILADELPHIA, PENN. \/ ORANGE, Calif.\u00a0(Sept. 22, 2018) – Featherweight standout\u00a0Ruben Villa<\/strong>\u00a0(13-0, 5 KOs)makes his fifth appearance of the year from his hometown of\u00a0Salinas, Calif.<\/strong>\u00a0when he headlines\u00a0“New Blood”\u00a0on\u00a0Saturday, Oct. 13, from the\u00a0\u00a0Salinas Storm House<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Villa, 21, returns to his hometown for the second time since winning the vacant WBO Youth featherweight championship in April. In that bout, he handedly outpointed fellow prospect Marlon Olea for his first professional title.<\/p>\n The southpaw followed that performance with a knockout win over Ricardo Lopez in June and a unanimous decision win against Jose Santos Gonzalez in August.<\/p>\n “It’s exciting to be back in my hometown,”\u00a0\u00a0said Villa, who is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.<\/strong>\u00a0“All my friends and family are already asking for tickets.
